One run. Twenty-nine kilometres on the table.
Pick a number for every year he's lit up the world.
第一話 · The Story
Mud on his shoes more often than not. He will absolutely talk you into a 5am run you did not agree to, up a hill that was not on the map, in weather that was not ideal. And somehow you'll thank him for it. This run is for him. He'd want you to come along. (He has probably already texted you about it.)
So we're taking a stretch of Chennai — or wherever you are — at sunrise, or any time of day you can actually get out of bed. Pick any distance, 1 to 29 km. Walk it, jog it, race it. There's no clock that matters. Only that we share the road with him on this day.
If he's ever sent you a Strava link unprompted, convinced you that trekking is "basically just walking," or looked at you with that face when he talks about being outdoors — you already know. This is what makes him happiest. You, out there, moving, just for a little bit, on his day.
距離 · Distances
Four chapters, one finish line. Choose what feels right — there's no wrong answer.
Before the GPS watch. Before the foam roller. Before he had opinions about running shoes. Small, curious, just getting started — much like him, once upon a time.
Homework, heartbreak, and the first taste of figuring things out. A solid middle distance for someone who also survived being a teenager. Respect.
This is where it gets good. The years he became the person who drags people up hills at 5am and somehow makes them love it. Long, a little hard, completely worth it.
All of it. Every year, every early morning, every unsolicited running tip. Go the distance. He would. He has. Many times. Up-hill, with a smile!
道 · The Route
Twenty-nine years is a lot of ground covered. Some of it coastal, some of it uphill, most of it taken at a pace nobody else could keep up with. Pick a stretch that feels right — flat, open, yours. If you're in Chennai, start along the coast. If you're not, find your own road. He always did.

補給 · On the Course
Every great run has a moment where someone hands you exactly what you need. Life's not so different. Here's what's been waiting at the checkpoints.
Hot food · Unconditional love · The unshakeable belief that you could do anything. The original aid station. Still the best one.
Not family by blood but by choice. The people who sat with you through the hard years, laughed through the good ones, and never once asked you to be anything other than yourself.
You know what this is. You don't need us to spell it out. Just keep going. It's right there.
